Social progress and corporate culture

چکیده
Abstract Social progress through improved treatment of minority groups (e.g., forbidding racial or sexual harassment) may not spread to corporate cultures competition. We provide a theory culture, and we show that emergent, progressive can displace existing, regressive ones when the prevailing wage gap is large between majority groups. The model provides testable predictions on gender gaps across firms.
